Bonfire Night 2008 5th November 2008
Also known as 'Guy Fawkes Night', celebrates the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot of the 5 November 1605 in which a number of Catholic conspirators, including Guy Fawkes, attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London. The event features a host of fireworks, processions, festivals and funfairs across the capital. There are many huge displays in Ravenscourt Park, Clapham Common and Victoria Park.

Lord Mayor's Show 8th November 2008
